Color: brown. Measures about 9 inches in diameter.
Thought it must be the motor so I replaced it which was very easy but did not cure the noise. Decided all that was left was to replace the ring even though I could not see anything wrong with it. Replaced ring problem solved Read more

I have one of those combo units with the microwave on top and the oven on the bottom. The thermometer switch located on the upper right side mounted on top of the magnetron read open on a continuity test. Replaced the thermal fuse. Everything works fine now. Note: The thermal switch on the left side read closed, the fan switch on the lower right side read open. I just watched some youtube videos on what and how to test the components. The 20A fuse was good. So I tested the thermal... Read more
I had to remove the microwave from the range and then remove the cover from the microwave to determine the exact problem. After a visual inspection then discharging the high voltage capacitor, I used a meter to test the high voltage diode and fuses. After using the meter to ohm out the magnetron, I removed it from the unit, and seeing that the hole in the end of the magnetron's tube was enlarged and burnt, as if it was arcing, I assumed it was the bad part. I ordered the parts from Appliance... Read more
Dropped unit about six inches by support bolts (cabinet access) and replaced socket light assembly, replaced stovetop bulbs, replaced motorized vent grill. Replaced interior light bulb. I think it defies common sense but you have to drop the unit from its moorings to replace the interior bulb. Owner's manual says it is a two-man job, which compounds this engineering debacle. Actually you can lower it rather than completely deinstall. I had also not been able to replace the stovetop bulbs,... Read more
After tracking the source of a prominent noise to the vent motor I removed it and found a replacement part to install. It went very well, and the new motor works noiselessly. Read more
After confirming the part number by visiting several Web sites and looking up that same part, (smart control board) for my microwave oven, I placed my order. I was surprized by the speed that the order was processed, receiving the part almost immediately. Now I am a mechanic with a high tech background. So of course I was confident about changing the part. Problem was, I had now idea how to do it. Thank God for UTube! A couple of minutes after looking for replacements on this site, I quickly...
