• Takes too long to dry

Buy only an EOM Whirlpool belt (also fits this Maytag model) At your electrical service panel, move your dryer’s breaker(s) to their off position(s). Unplug the dryer. This project was quite easy once I figured out the best way to install the new belt. Two phillips head screws at the bottom of the front panel are all that need to be removed to remove the front panel and door. Lift from the bottom out about 45 degrees and the front will come off. Ordered replacement front panel (arrived next day!) transferred handle and brackets from old door to replacement and reinstalled. Pretty straightforward, but took extra care to not break the glass on the new panel. Used blue loctite on handle screws and snugged them down instead of tightening them up too much since the glass panel is sandwiched between the handle and the brackets. We had to replace the panel. A few issues. We had to remove the handle from the broken panel to the new panel. This was a bit tricky but our next door neighbor had gone through this same issue so he and my husband were able to work it through without damaging anything. The only other part was lining up the screws and securityring the clips. Looks great and works great. Read more

The hardest part of the job was removing and lifting the built in oven out of the cabinet. Once it was out of the cabinet we had to remove the metal panel to reach the blower motor. The first thing I did was call appliance pros. The tec told me it was a good chance it was the thermostat. He told how to test it with my ohm meter and what range it should be in. I made the problem with I turned on the oven cleaner without removing the metal racks. Dumb move!!!!
