Whirlpool convection oven. Access to convection element from inside. Three screws to remove plate covering fan blade. Then one screw to remove element bracket. I placed tape over the holes with the wires so they wouldn’t pull back into the panel. Remove old element at tabs and replace. Very easy fix. I replaced the magnetron and diode. I don't know if the diode was bad, but since the majority of the work was taking the case apart, I figured it was easier to do it at the same time as the magnetron. I was able to order new hinge receiver brackets for the door. The repair was not that bad. I just had to take off the lower door, take the two trim pieces off the sides and unscrew the screws holding the oven into the face of the cabinet. Then slide it out about halfway and put a step stool under the front to keep it from tipping over. Then it was just a matter of taking off everything around the sides until I could take the brackets off, put the new brackets on, and put everything back... Read more

I read up on others with this problem of microwave-wall oven combination Whirlpool Gold. We live in a very rural area and were not able to get ANYONE to service it - had 2 companies come out to inspect but they never returned. I have wonderful news! Studied schematics and watched many on-line videos. Did some electrical checks with VOM (Volt/Ohm Meter). Determined that control panel thermal fuse attached to back of control panel had opened due to high temp. Determined that the upper oven thermal fuse on back of oven had opened due to high temp. Determined that transformer that supplies power to lights was bad (open primary). Removed control panel circuit board and had it repaired/verified good. The plastic piece on the handle where the screw goes in to hold glass door up had broke. I ordered new handle, the retainer pieces that go over the plastic pieces to lock it all in and screws that were suggested. The screws were the wrong ones. They were way too small. I already had one screw and thankfully only had to buy 1 new one because the screw was $40 and shipping’s $10 for it AND it’s on back order right now. Replaced it with the video listed..Maytag Atlantis dryer was not heating. Checked all components inside dryer, thermostat, coils, etc. All check out ok ......last thing I checked was the terminal.
