Frequent referral to your tutorial video was extremely useful. In the video at 0.90 had trouble lifting the over door off. At 4.00 in video the factory installed insulation in our stove was doubled on itself and therefore only covered half of the perimeter of the insulation channel. Factory goof. Reassembly at 4.25 in video have to be certain BOTH sides of tabs engage large flat pan, since I took off both hinges. Not quite obvious in video if both door hinges were removed. Read more
Be careful not to tighten or twist the small hex nut in the knob cylinder/housing with force. there is a very small plastic set tab that can be broken off easily. how do I know? The orientation of the switch "box" is horizontal instead of vertical. otherwise, this replacement part # works as expected. I couldn't get the switch to attach plate removed, and the switch removed, without removing the entire cooktop and removing the top glass burner cover. Not difficult, but time-consuming. Read more

The first thing I did was call appliance pros. The tec told me it was a good chance it was the thermostat. He told how to test it with my ohm meter and what range it should be in. I pulled it out and tested it, which was out of the limits he told me it should be in. So I ordered the part. When it arrived in two days, I installed it. The oven now works perfect. Based on the faults, I understood that the problem could either be with the control console (the glass touch panel) or the microcomputer. The on-line pro recommended replacing the console. I ordered, received and replaced the console, but a day later the original problems returned. I then ordered, received and replaced the microcomputer (using the old control console).
