Troubleshot the oven by checking the broiler which worked good (same fuel valve). After reading the some tips about troubleshooting the Glow Ignitor I could see the broiler ignitor got white hot and the oven ignitor only got bright orange (orange to red causes intermittent ignition or mini explosions). Turned OFF the CIRCUIT BREAKER for the RANGE at home electric control panel. Checked RANGE to verify power to entire RANGE was OFF by observing that control panel and OVEN lights were OFF and no burner operation. Covered GLASS COOKTOP of range with cardboard or other protective material to avoid accidental breakage during repair. Removed knob from infinite control switch by firmly pulling UP.
