The first thing I did was call appliance pros. The tec told me it was a good chance it was the thermostat. He told how to test it with my ohm meter and what range it should be in. I pulled it out and tested it, which was out of the limits he told me it should be in. So I ordered the part. When it arrived in two days, I installed it. The oven now works perfect. Based on the faults, I understood that the problem could either be with the control console (the glass touch panel) or the microcomputer. The on-line pro recommended replacing the console. I ordered, received and replaced the console, but a day later the original problems returned. I then ordered, received and replaced the microcomputer (using the old control console). Removed cooktop from counter, removed screws and pulled off broken glass. Applied foam gasket around new cooktop (purchased separately) and installed new glass. Very easy repair and a perfect fit. Read more
