The grill vent is held on at only two plastic tabs by screws. Its' breaking, and resulting unsightly gaping vent opening is apparently very common. I first bought the replacement from the big online retailer going by the picture of the microwave.... Don't do that! So, when it didn't fit, I went to this site entered in the model number and was given the choice of original stainless, or for less than half price, shiny black.
