The outer door frame forms the structural perimeter of your microwave's door, providing mounting points for the handle and creating a seal against the cooking chamber. Located around the exterior edge of the microwave door, this frame ensures proper door alignment and microwave containment. Replace if the frame is cracked, warped, or prevents the door from sealing properly.
No instructions so I google it and from the blogs I was able to remove the panel and snap on the new one. I now have a new looking microwave! Read more
This vent damper controls airflow through your microwave's ventilation system and directs air properly through the exhaust. It opens and closes to regulate air movement and prevent backflow when the vent fan isn't running. This outer door frame surrounds the microwave door opening and holds the door seal in place. It replaces a cracked or warped frame that allows microwave energy to leak or prevents the door from closing properly.
I did this repair without uninstalling the microwave from the cabinet. (The hinge attaching screws are inside the cabinet.) The most difficult part was the removal of the inner frame. I used a small flat screwdriver and a putty knife but it was tedious. To save time, just order an inner frame and don't worry about trying to save it.
