This assembly combines a humidity sensor and thermostat used in over-the-range microwaves to detect moisture and temperature levels during cooking. The humidity sensor enables auto-cook and auto-reheat features by sensing steam released from food, while the thermostat monitors internal temperature for safety. Replace this part if your microwave no longer accurately auto-cooks or auto-reheats food, runs too long or shuts off too early, or if you get error codes related to sensor functions.

I pulled it off the wall and opened it up ( unplugged ) Then I checked the fuses with my volt meter and found nothing wrong. I then checked the capasator and found that to also be good, I then plugged in the Microwave and tried a test run and noticed the fan was not running. I unplugged the fan and tested to see if it was getting voltage and it was.....soooo the fan was bad. I ordered the new one and the microwave now works. Read more

The Motor-Turn is an OEM part compatible with Whirlpool microwaves. Located inside the microwave cavity on the turntable mechanism, the motor-turn contains the turntable motor and drive components.

After research on the internet I concluded that the problem was the turntable motor making the noise. The repair was relatively easy. Just a philips and a star screwdriver was needed. By simply romving the screws from the bottom of the microwave the turntable motor could be removed andvreplaced. The new motor fit perfectly and the grinding noise is gone. Read more
