Whirlpool W11661547 Motor-Turn OEM Part

After research on the internet I concluded that the problem was the turntable motor making the noise. The repair was relatively easy. Just a philips and a star screwdriver was needed. By simply romving the screws from the bottom of the microwave the turntable motor could be removed andvreplaced. The new motor fit perfectly and the grinding noise is gone.

Very simple fix. Unplugged the microwave and then unscrewed about 10 screws form the bottom of the microwave that hold the lower cover on. Simply disconnected the old motor, removed it, and then replaced it with the new one. Took about 5-10 minutes altogether.

Replaced motor. Make sure you have a small star screwdriver for the motor screws.
