20-year-old RIM Hi-start ice maker. Scanned the internet and found videos on how to test the unit using a jumper wire. Results of test consistent with a ‘dead’ ice-maker. After watching a video on the AppliancePartsPros.com site, I decided that it was the Valve-Intake that had to be the issue. So I simply unplugged everything as suggested, and replaced the part. I plugged everything back in, made sure the water dispenser in the front door worked, and then turned on the ice maker. Within 5 minutes, the ice maker went through it's rotation, and this time it filled the ice trace. Yay! Read more
