The manufacturer no longer makes the duel socket as shown in the photo. It has been replaced by a single socket

My wife put a pan of bars under the ice maker to cool. This melted the ice in the bottom of the ice tray together. Once it froze the auger motor stripped the drive gear trying to dispense the ice that was frozen together. It worked on crushed for a little while since the auger motor runs backwards to crush ice but it still failed after a while. I bought this auger motor and swapped it out. After watching a video on the AppliancePartsPros.com site, I decided that it was the Valve-Intake that had to be the issue. So I simply unplugged everything as suggested, and replaced the part. I plugged everything back in, made sure the water dispenser in the front door worked, and then turned on the ice maker. Within 5 minutes, the ice maker went through it's rotation, and this time it filled the ice trace. Yay! Read more
