Fix ice dispenser grinding noises and jams with this lower ice crusher bin. Supports crusher blades and restores smooth crushed-ice dispensing.
Easy to remove the metal parts from the old bin. The only problem was that the screw that holds the adapter has red thread locker and screwdriver rounded off the head of the screw. Drilled the screw and heated the screw to loosen the thread locker and used an ease out to remove the screw. Read more

Water line coming out of inlet valve to ice maker was cracked. Removed the paperboard cover from the bottom of the back of the fridge, then unplugged the water line going from the inlet valve to the ice maker. Wasn't sure this new tube was going to work, because the original had an elbow on it. Fit just fine. Removed grille from front and disconnected other end of ice maker water line. Very easy fix. Chome grate/grille pops out by hand. Drip tray was two Philips screws. I wiped down the area with cleaning vinegar to remove some hard water stains, rinsed it down then put everything back. There is in an in-between tray that you could also replace but mine wasn't too bad, so I only did the grille and the bottom tray. Read more

After being told by a service repairman that it would cost me close to $200 to repair, I resolved to just not use the dispenser. After about a year, I had decided that I wanted to repair it and would look at the options myself. At the least, I could figure out which parts were needed to repair it and have them on hand for a service guy if I determined I could not do the job myself. The more I studied it, the more I felt confident that I could do it, and sure enough, when the part arrived - a... Read more

Replaced door latch and switch. Parts are plastic so you must know what you are doing to avoid breaking new parts. Videos were hard to find for my model - eventually I found a video that addressed a different problem but required disassembly of a washer cabinet similar to mine. I removed the control panel using a putty knife and unplugged the wire to the latch switch. Then I remove 3 screws securing the washer's top panel to the back panel. Using a rubber mallet, I gently knocked the top panel... Read more
