Originally I thought the worm gear had gone bad - the most common problem when the mixer head won't turn. Got a new worm gear and took extraapart the mixer (followed the instructions in an online video tutorial). The worm gear was fine! Checked out You tube video. Easy tune up. One gasket was damaged and I did not notice that the brush holders has no brushes. I followed the online tutorials, there are many....replaced the PLASTIC part that had worn out Part #: AP4325266 (241764), and also the roll pin, Part #: AP3038054 (9703442) that held it in place with the handle.
