First replaced start capacitor but that did not work, the start kit which has a relay and overload protector is what was needed. The relay is actually the only part that was bad I believe. After pulling the relay off the compressor you could shake it and it rattled, the new one did not. Really pretty easy and definitely cheaper than a service call. Read more

This part is an ice auger gear motor that is used on refrigerators with freezer units. The motor is the component that turns the auger, which in turn pushes the ice cubes out of the dispenser.
