This is a Whirlpool refrigerator control board. It manages the appliance's temperature, defrost timing, and other vital functions. If damaged, the refrigerator may have difficulty maintaining an appropriate temperature. The compressor may run constantly, or may never kick on at all.Unplug the refrigerator before installing this part. It might be a good idea to move food to temporary cool storage, as well. Remove the wire harness and mounting screws from the control panel and install the new component in its place.This is a genuine OEM part compatible with refrigerators manufactured by Whirlpool brands, including Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and others. It is sold without any additional hardware.
Technician replaced the damper first, but that did not fix the problem. Then he said it was the circuit board that needed replacing after confirming the temp sensor was ok, but he wanted $200 in labor to replace it. The same part from Appliance Parts was $75 cheaper and I was able to replace the part myself in about 20 minutes. Saving an additional $200. Everything works just like it was supposed to. Read more
I followed the instructional video on your website. I removed the access cover and then removed the 4 screws holding the old motor in place. Removed the wiring harness clip. Carefully removed the old motor so as to not allow the shaft to come all the way out and displace the spring at the top of the shaft. (great tip from the video). Installed the new motor. I troubleshot it and determined it is the motor and housing that were worn out. Waiting on the housing to ship before I replace all the components. When I receive it, all will be an easy fix. I ordered all my parts and all in stock were received on the date as promised. Read more
