This is a rubber or foam dampener designed to reduce vibration and noise from the compressor or refrigerant tubing. It attaches to the tubing or compressor mount to absorb vibrations during normal operation. Replace this dampener if you hear excessive rattling, buzzing, or vibration noises coming from the back or bottom of the refrigerator.

The installation of the new condenser motor was as the video described; there were no surprises. I noted the difference in operation immediately, the fan was moving at a higher rate of speed in a smoother motion. The new motor had far less shaft end play and seems to move more air across the condenser coil than the original motor. Removed the old one and replaced it with Appliance Parts Pros ice maker. Result...#ice! This was for a bottom freezer model, which required removing the freezer door to be able to access the icemaker. Once I was able to crawl into the freezer by lying on the floor the actual removal and replacement was relatively easy. Read more
