The installation of the new condenser motor was as the video described; there were no surprises. I noted the difference in operation immediately, the fan was moving at a higher rate of speed in a smoother motion. The new motor had far less shaft end play and seems to move more air across the condenser coil than the original motor. I removed the lower sheet metal panel at the base of the freezer section and then used a heat gun to melt off all the built up ice, which was blocking air flow to the refrigerator side. I then unplugged the old heating element at each end and "very gingerly" pulled out the evaporator coil a few inches so that I could removed the old heating element. Installed the new heating element and then reattached everything and fridge now works great. Read more
