Replaced the defrost heater from another model. It was the same heater with a different plug so I changed out the plug. Also changed the thermistor, thermostat, and defrost timer. I have been working on this for a few weeks testing each part. So far everything is working great. The defrost heater rates a 4, the other parts are between a 1 and 2. Replaced ice dispensor door. Just followed video instructions. Read more
I could hear the old motor try to turn by it's hum but no ice came out. I made sure the auger was not jammed. The motor replacement took about 15 minutes. This was a very simple fix, one wire connection and 9 screws. Read more
