Removed the old one and replaced it with Appliance Parts Pros ice maker. Result...#ice! This was for a bottom freezer model, which required removing the freezer door to be able to access the icemaker. I removed the lower sheet metal panel at the base of the freezer section and then used a heat gun to melt off all the built up ice, which was blocking air flow to the refrigerator side. I then unplugged the old heating element at each end and "very gingerly" pulled out the evaporator coil a few inches so that I could removed the old heating element. Installed the new heating element and then reattached everything and fridge now works great. Read more
