I checked on line for possible issues and it came back to the PTC relay overload assembly. I ordered one and verified with the technician if the instructions for wiring it up to an older model is addressed. He sent me a copy of the instructions and it covered everything. The part came in a about three days and I had it wired up in about 30 minutes with no issues. It's been running like a champ. Read more
First replaced start capacitor but that did not work, the start kit which has a relay and overload protector is what was needed. The relay is actually the only part that was bad I believe. After pulling the relay off the compressor you could shake it and it rattled, the new one did not. Really pretty easy and definitely cheaper than a service call. Read more

Replaced the defrost heater from another model. It was the same heater with a different plug so I changed out the plug. Also changed the thermistor, thermostat, and defrost timer. I have been working on this for a few weeks testing each part. So far everything is working great. The defrost heater rates a 4, the other parts are between a 1 and 2. Removed spring, cam, bushing, by removing one nut. Parts were stripped from being loose for so long, and unusable. Replaced with new parts from APP. Read more
