This pivot clip allows the dishwasher tines to fold down flat, creating space for loading large plates and cookware in the lower rack. It provides the hinge mechanism that lets you adjust the tine configuration based on your loading needs. To eliminate ordering parts that are working, I went to hardware store to get a multimeter to test and confirmed the continuity of the themal fuse and the door switches are working. Saw another reviewer post a similar problem and I went with the solution by replacing the panel-ctl. I bought the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Removed water inlet hose. Removed water outlet hose. Removed water inlet valve which was held on with one screw. Replaced the water inlet value. Replace a cracked, bent, or worn right-hand door hinge on your dishwasher. Restores proper door alignment and smooth opening/closing operation.
We scoured the web and there are few references to this so I want to add it in case it helps. Replacing hinges solved the popping opening issue. We could not solve our dishwasher door issue after a number of other tries: Latch, Catch, Ropes that attach to the springs that pull the door closed. First tried replacing the seal around the door as that was the simple and most logical fix. Still leaked. Removed the front and upper panel to inspect.
