With the telephone help from one of the pros we selected a part that was as close to the original part as possible. The dishwasher is some 25 years old and the original part has been long discontinued but with the help of your "pro" the part we installed has fitted with out a hitch and working nicely. Water inlet fill hose connects the valve to the tank inlet on your dishwasher. Replace if cracked, leaking, or damaged to restore proper water flow.
Pulled dishwasher from under counter, disconnecting water supply pipe for access. Removed vent and fouled gasket and cleaned pieces with CLR. Reinstalled gasket, reconnected water supply and repositioned dishwasher under counter. Not particularly easy for DIYer but can be done. As a side note, I ordered 2 gaskets for the first repair so one was readily available. When the subsequent repair was finished, I order 2 more, due to low price, for backup. Read more

Structural door frame for dishwashers. Mounts to the tub and supports the door panel. Replace if cracked, rusted, warped, or damaged from corrosion.
I had no hope of separating the panel from the frame without damaging the frame since the two parts were rusted pretty badly and the screws holding the panel to the frame were completely beyond salvage. So I had to replace both the panel and the frame. I ended up removing the electrical/electronic connections, removing the panel/frame from the hinge and then replacing it with the new parts.
