This genuine replacement part is an upper dishrack. The upper dishrack is the top shelf of a dishwasher that holds plates, bowls, and utensils. Over time through continuous use, this upper rack may become damaged, making it difficult to secure dishes during a wash cycle. If the dishrack is visibly damaged or no longer opening and shutting properly, it will need to be replaced. Thankfully, replacing this dishrack is a relatively simple process. To remove the old dishrack, simply pull it out and lift the wheels from its track. Set it off the side, and lift the new dishrack. Slide it into its track and make sure it is locked in. If it is gliding in and out smoothly, it has been installed properly. This genuine replacement part is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand dishwashers.

The video on the website is not specific to my model but I'm a little handy and was able to figure it out. If I had to do it again, I'd rate the difficulty as a 1, much of the time spent was figuring out how to push all the little plastic lock tabs and switching the rollers and upper water jet assembly from one rack to the other.
