This component adjusts the tension of washer suspension springs in laundry center units and is located within the suspension system. Replace when experiencing excessive vibration, unbalanced loads, or unusual movement during spin cycles.
Watched a few of your videos and ordered the springs and a insert, and actually got the parts right. I am not a Appliance repair guy but I am retired and I am pretty handy so I thought what the heck. I watched the videos, a lot of common sense, common tools, and plenty of time. My knuckles are busted up and a little blood, but I got it done. Was actually kind of rewarding. Works like a champ. The Videos, ARE AWESOME. Read more
This removable cup holds liquid fabric softener and releases it during the rinse cycle of the wash. Located in the washer's dispenser drawer or agitator, it should be replaced when fabric softener doesn't dispense properly, the cup is cracked, or softener residue cannot be cleaned away.
I like fixing things and I like my 15 year old Frigidaire GLWS1649AS2, so I wanted to fix it. What I discovered, apart from what's seen in the videos: I went through all the research and started taking apart the machine thinking I needed a new spin bearing and wanting to see if and what I could do. I was willing to find I couldn't do anything, buy a new machine and trash this one. I thought I'd play it safe and also planned on the tub seals. Once I got the tubs out (the point at which I... Located beneath the washer tub, this gear assembly transfers power from the motor to create the agitation and spin cycles. Replace when clothes aren't getting clean, the washer won't spin, or you hear loud grinding or clicking noises during operation.
Ordered my replacement unit from APP, along with a few other "while I am fixing this I should replace that since I am disassembling the washer" parts also from APP. After 2 hours of repair work, the washer is back in full working as new order. The only recommendation to others is make sure you order ALL the parts for the job. Take time to investigate all that you will or might need to replace. An ounce of prevention is worth the pound of cure. Like the old line; measure twice and cut... Read more
This on-off switch terminal is composed of electrical contact areas that connect to a charge or load on a battery. One is marked for positive current while the other is where the current returns to. These terminals can sometimes stop working or suffer corrosion which makes them dangerous to use. Brushing and cleaning a terminal can help remove dirt and debris, but a malfunctioning terminal requires a replacement. This is the case if the corrosion is severe enough to eat away at the metal or the terminal doesn’t clamp on the way that it should. The battery terminals can be removed and replaced using tools like pliers, a socket set, a wrench set, and a hacksaw. This terminal is a genuine OEM component directly from the manufacturer. It’s designed to be used on engines of snowblowers, lawnmowers, chipper shredders, and tillers. It is compatible with Tecumseh, Husqvarna, Toro, Troy-Bilt, Craftsman, Simplicity, Cub Cadet, Briggs & Stratton, and MTD equipment. Some items that can help with installation include anti-corrosion spray, felt pads, and heat-shrink tubing.
