Replaced the pressure switch which only took about 15 minutes ,was a very simple operation. tube air was backordered till 10/16/15 so checked it and found it with gunk in it ,so cleaned it out and washer works fine. can cancel tube air as i will not need now thanks for information on what part to order was very helpful Read more

I took the wash basket out of the tub to remove all the sludge and scale that had accumulated over the years. But I did not have a spanner wrench to remove the large nut holding the basket to the center shaft. No problem - I used a hammer and chisel on the ears. But didn't realize it was a LEFT HAND THREAD!! Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat.
