Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Broken timer washing machine would not cycle got stuck on agitate   John S. • Westminster , CO • September 22, 2015

After the timer quit we had one more load to do so we ran each cycle manually, advancing the timer by hand through the pre-soak, wash, rinse, spin cycles. That told us there were no problems with the other switches. Pulled the back off the control assembly and it was no big deal to get the old timer out. I suggest doing that before you order and comparing the part you are replacing to the images shown online (since there are two timer versions for this model) to make sure you get the right... The lid shut-off switch is located behind the lid How About That. I order the plastic ball the hold the lid in place plus the lid shut off switch. I watched the video that AppliancePartsPros.com has on how to replace the lid and the plastic balls. I removed the lid to get to the two philips head screws to remove that part of the shut-off switch. I took the new switch out of the package and compared it to the old switch. Long and short the replacement parts fit perfectly and the washer is running like new. Special thanks to the online support make my repair possible. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The ice bucket housing had disintegrated and the motor twisted off   Lloyd W. • Streamwood , IL • January 08, 2026

I pulled out the old housing and unplugged the motor. It pretty much came out in pieces. Remove the plastic from the motor, then had to take a pair of vice grips to hold the spindle in place to remove the auger. Remove what was still attached to the old Housing. Cleaned everything up and put the whole unit back together. The motor looked like it was somewhat cooked but still worked, so I ordered a new motor and auger to replace it.
