It was really an easy repair once you get the dishwasher disconnected from drain/water supply/electrical and the out of cabinet. This part took 30-45 minutes due to tight fit and difficulty accessing water supply. Once dishwasher out of cabinet, removal of 5 screws per side, lifted off side panels, and access was simple. I removed the door panel to assess internal components, My first thought was the door switch. I checked the switch and it was operating properly. I then moved to control module. power was to module but nothing coming out of module. The fuse integrated in the module was patent but I noticed a dark area on the circuit board concentrated around the power inlet location. I removed the module and behind the dark area was melted. new module and dishwasher works like new. Read more
I bought a new controller first and installed it. The exact replacement controller was no longer available and I had to modify two AC connectors that changed from 3 pins with two wires to two pins with two wires. This was not expected but I made it work just fine by getting the three pin connectors on the cable to fit the two pin by breaking out the center web in the board two pin and then shaving off the raised key plastic on the wires. Simple project. Sit on floor. Lower door onto lap. Remove panel screws from inside door edge. Old panel drops off. Position new panel. Lower door onto screw holes. Reinstall screws. Tip: Install all screws but don't tighten. Close door several times ensuring door seats flush. Tighten screws evenly to maintain flush door seal when closed. Read more
I called a repairman out ($90) to diagnose problem which I was unable to figure out on my own (after tearing apart dishwasher). It was a simple $1 washer that was rotten. While I was on this website I went ahead and ordered some other gaskets too. Read more
