I bought a new controller first and installed it. The exact replacement controller was no longer available and I had to modify two AC connectors that changed from 3 pins with two wires to two pins with two wires. I replaced the dishwasher circulation motor. I also replaced the impeller assembly, although it turns out that was not necessary. Once receiving the parts, I Pulled out the dishwasher and removed side panels - didn't even have to disconnect anything.
