The Diverter Motor Assembly is an OEM part for LG dishwashers. It is a critical component used to control the direction of water flow within the dishwasher, ensuring that water is properly diverted between the different spray arms during various wash cycles.
Symptoms of a failing Diverter Motor Assembly include:
- Inadequate cleaning of dishes, with some areas remaining dirty
- Unusual noises, like humming or clicking, indicating the diverter motor is struggling to operate
- Error codes displayed on the dishwasher that relate to water distribution problems
- Water not reaching all spray arms
Causes of a bad diverter motor can include wear and tear from regular use, electrical issues such as faulty wiring or motor failure, and mechanical obstructions or debris that prevent the diverter from moving smoothly.
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.
