Ordered 2 light switches and replaced them. Read more

Unplugged frig to check connections, everything was ok. When I plugged it back in, nothing worked and the display and ice maker were flickering and clicking. Unplugged the display connector on the main board and could hear clicking from the main board itself. Replacing the main board and capacitor fixed it. I only replaced the capacitor as a precaution. it may not have been bad, but I did it for good measure. Everything is working great now and I don't have to buy a new refrigerator. Read more

The old filter head was broken at the supply line side connector fell out. The clicking noise eventually caused the fridge to warm up and stop cooling. The clicking was the overload relay tripping. The Start solenoid on the compressor was an Embarco TSD part 513604044. APP does not have that part nor does any else found a similar one on ebay but I ordered the PTC assembly 6749C-0014E. Threaded bases for two roller screws were ~ 80% broken off. Used a short (just barely extends past the end of the roller) sheet metal screw to secure the roller in the upper sliding section of the handle (handle in place first). The head was thick enough to fill the gap between the roller and the cover. Filling that gap accurately is important. Need to keep the roller pushed into the recessed area in the door. I found the condensing fan motor would not turn with power applied. I also found a drain tube cracked and breaking. I had to use a snub nose screwdriver to remove and replace condensing fan motor. Replaced it. Ordered the dispenser cover because the repair guy said they usually break the plastic tabs removing the cover. I didn't and reused the old one. Just need to be careful removing the old one. Cover just pries off. Simple to replace. Read more

Refrigerator was easy. Simply replaced the activator switch that was sticking. The range hood was a little more difficult. I had replaced the switch years ago but it still didn’t work. So I took on the challenge of replacing the transformer. That was difficult to get to but once replaced and reassembled the lights work fine. Read more

Replacing the door hinge and stopper assembly was very easy, once I figured out you had to disconnect the water supply on the back of the fridge before removing the door. Read more
