This upper hinge assembly secures and guides the refrigerator door, restoring proper door alignment and smooth opening/closing. It replaces a worn or damaged hinge to help stop sagging, rubbing, or noisy movement. What it does:
Replaced the Left Door Holder Assembly (part # AP4439134). Carefully removed the cover, napped out the broken assembly, snapped in the new assembly, and replaced the cover. Read more
I replaced the ice maker assembly, which included the motor and electronics. I also replaced the door seal and the input cold air duct seals. The ice maker is mounted with only 2 philips screws, so it is easy to remove. The most difficult part is the harness, specifically the ground screw. The issue is that the wire is short and you need to turn the unit in order to get a screwdriver in.
