Easy to remove one screw to remove cover and LED array.However very hard to find online..most places were out of stock or back ordered. Found AppliancePartsPro.com with a Google search..Part was available and would ship within 3 days. Well the part arrived the next day only 24 hours after placing the order..On a good online order 2 days is great but hey 24 hours!! It can not be beat!! We've called a few service centers, and received discouraging feedback & costly estimates. When I called APPro, I spoke with Andrew, and he diagnosed that the front panel needed replacement. He was very helpful, and indicated that the panel shouldn't be too difficult to repair. Once we received the part, my husband tried the remove the facade to get to the panel but LG has very tight fitting of the dispensing unit.
