I looked inside and saw the teeth were worn off the "dogs" so I purchased the Cam Agitator repair kit and a new bolt. Getting the old bolt out was the hardest part since it was worn and rusted. I ended up having to buy a set of socket extensions and a set of stripped bolt sockets so $45 in tools and it took me an hour to get the old bolt out but putting everything back together was a breeze. Replaced the lines, however the model maytag I was working un is a poor design. When you lift the top up to access the lines, you are putting pressure on the gas lines. If you lift it up, then down several times; then you risk bending the tubing and it will break. My recomendation is for do-it-yourselfers to lift it, install it, and close it in one step so you don't bend or break the lines again. Hope this helps. Brian Read more
