After searching and watching videos, I determined that the only way to fix my dryer was to replace the entire timer. I also needed a new knob for the timer. Unfortunately, you can not purchase just 1 knob, you have to purchase a package that contains 1 of each of the knobs on the panel. The repair was very easy! Drilled out the hole holding the lid screw and replaced with a machine screw and nut. replaced the lid switch and installed the 2 new end caps. Read more

I unplugged the machine from the electric socket and removed the drain hose. I then shut the water valves to the unit. I removed the two screws from the rear sides of the control panel. I gently lifted the control panel and tilted it forward resting it on the lid of the machine to expose the control knobs. It took two repair attempts to fix the dryer.
