After being told by the technician that the part did not exist anymore by LG, we contacted LG and they gave us a replacement part number that no one had, no online, no onsite, and we contacted Appliance Parts Pros, chat with their agents and they ordered the part directly from LG, LG took about 7 days (business) for the back order part but surely enough the part came after few days. I replaced the ice maker assembly, which included the motor and electronics. I also replaced the door seal and the input cold air duct seals. The ice maker is mounted with only 2 philips screws, so it is easy to remove. The most difficult part is the harness, specifically the ground screw. The issue is that the wire is short and you need to turn the unit in order to get a screwdriver in. It would help to have a short screwdriver, but I was, finally, able to remove it with the full length... Read more
