The fridge was making tick noise every 2 mins, turning off the condensor which prevented the fridge from cooling. Through research I found it is a common problem related to relay and overload. I tried searching for the part I couldn't see it online because it was discontinued for this particular LG model. Therefore I called the pros and they were able to find the part but had no image but since they accept returns, I was like its worth a shot and guess what it was the best choice I could make... I replaced the ice maker assembly, which included the motor and electronics. I also replaced the door seal and the input cold air duct seals. The ice maker is mounted with only 2 philips screws, so it is easy to remove. The most difficult part is the harness, specifically the ground screw. The issue is that the wire is short and you need to turn the unit in order to get a screwdriver in. It would help to have a short screwdriver, but I was, finally, able to remove it with the full length... Read more
