This washer tub mounting bolt secures the tub assembly to its support points. Replacing worn or missing hardware helps keep the tub aligned and stable through wash and spin, reducing vibration and noise. What it does:
Watched the video on how to replace. Ordered new roller, which was delivered in just a couple of days. Since the roller had broke, I was unable to roll out the refrigerator, so I tilted the refrigerator back and placed a small furniture slider under the roller frame to prevent gouging the wood floor. Then it was easy to slide out the refrigerator and replaced the roller as explained on the video. I had ordered a pin and bolt, just in case I would need to replace, but didn't need them. ... I replaced the fill valve assembly with a new one. Had to look carefully at the parts diagrams to make sure I ordered the right one since the serial number break old vs. new didn't seem to match the number on my machine. On this particular machine you don't need to pull it out too far from the wall-leave the hoses connected to the valve, remove the screw holding the valve bracket, and pull into the washing machine where you can easily access the hose ends. A putty knife is needed to open... Read more

I followed the Appliance Parts Pro's advice videos for the Maytag MAV6451AWW Atlantis washer on replacing the snubber ring and the suspension springs. Everything went just fine except replacing the two rear most suspension springs. None of the videos illustrated REINSTALLING the REAR springs which is extremely difficult because you can't get enough leverage with your arm extended. Observing my frustration, my wife recommended taking off the back side. You can't simply take off the back,... Read more

Fixes squealing or slow stopping at end of spin cycle. This spring maintains brake tension so the basket stops promptly. DIY repair takes about 1 hour.
I replaced the: brake stator, rotor, and snubber ring. I did need to remove the stator which allowed the spring to decompress. I used 2 C-clamps to control the force when it was removed. To re-secure all the components I stood on the stator to compress the 200lbs spring until the screws could take the load safely. The entire thing took about an hour to slowly go through everything. The repair was easy. Unplug machine and turn off cold water. Remove cold water line and drain water into bucket. Remove back two braces located at the top on each end of machine This will allow you to move top cove back about one inch. Pull back top cover about 1 inch then lift off cover. Remove... Read more
