After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. It was an easy repair to swap out the new parts for the old, and the only tool necessary was a #2 phillips screw driver. This drawer runner guides and supports the movement of pull-out drawers in your range or oven. It ensures smooth operation and proper alignment when opening and closing storage drawers. Replace this part if drawers stick, don't slide smoothly, fall out completely, or don't align properly when closed.
Unfortunately, despite some dedicated efforts on the part Audrey Patrick and others, the problem was not solved. I replaced the door hinges, liner and gasket, but none of these solved what I believe is a flawed design. Very easy fix. Remove oven door by just opening it slightly and pulling up. (an easy way to clean it too). Then, with a phillips screw driver, remove two screws holding the damaged element in place. Slowly pull the element toward the front a couple inched to expose the wires. Disconnect the wires (no tools needed), remove the old element and replace it with the new.
