Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Water leak due to broken inner door shroud   Donald M. • Mount Juliet , TN • March 12, 2014

Wife attempted to wash a throw rug with a non slip backing. The backing burned a large hole in the plastic inner door shroud during the spin cycle which allowed water to leak out of washer every subsequent wash. The washer is a 16 year old Maytag Neptune. I ordered the replacement shroud and a new latch spring (the old one was rusted), and replaced both. The replacement shroud came with detailed instructions and no special tools were required. Easy fix and no more leak. Read more
