Wife attempted to wash a throw rug with a non slip backing. The backing burned a large hole in the plastic inner door shroud during the spin cycle which allowed water to leak out of washer every subsequent wash. The washer is a 16 year old Maytag Neptune. I ordered the replacement shroud and a new latch spring (the old one was rusted), and replaced both. The replacement shroud came with detailed instructions and no special tools were required. Watched a you tube video showing how to take machine apart. It came apart just like it was supposed to, and went back together pretty easily, too. Read more

Repair on replacing tub bearings went well . I removed front and door ,removed basket and belt pulley. used big hammer to hit the support from outer tub,cleaned and installed both bearings using a tool that I made.. Reinstalled all the parts that I removed and tested washer everything is working perfect very quite now. Read more

Replaced the door boot seal and tub seal. Watched a repair video and that made the process much easier as it described what need to be done and in what order. It was great see the very quick delivery, all parts were complete and correct. Read more

Ordered new baffle and the proper screws with help from appliance parts pros. Took washer apart. Removed soap dispenser cover, washer door, front, lifted top lid, removed seal to be able to access area to get screws in and tightened with a wrench. This part wasn't the easiest as there wasn't much room for my hand(s) to fit in, but just took my time and got it done. Read more
