This float palnut is a push-on retainer that secures the dishwasher's water-level float to its stem. Keeping the float anchored helps the overfill protection work properly, supporting correct fill levels and helping prevent leaks from overfilling. What it does:
I first installed the inlet pump with no results. I then ordered a Control Switch and Float and Nut. This fixed the problem. Everything comes out so clean. I also replaced the filter which allowed me to clean debris around old filter. It is also easier to replace all these parts with the dishwasher pulled out and tilted on its side. This knob controls the rinse aid dispenser setting in your dishwasher, allowing you to adjust how much rinse aid is released during the wash cycle.
