Replacement 8-32-thread screw used to secure panels, brackets and small components in compatible household appliances. Restores missing or stripped fasteners so panels and parts stay firmly attached during normal use. What it does:
This vent assembly allows hot, moist air to escape from the dishwasher tub during the drying cycle, helping dishes dry efficiently. It is typically located on the inner door panel and may include a duct and flap mechanism. Replace this assembly if dishes remain wet after the drying cycle, if you notice moisture or steam leaking from around the door, or if the vent flap is stuck or damaged.
Replaced Air Vent (+gasket). (Based on some googled descriptions of how.) Took out several screws in the vicinity of the vent on upper left of door. These are specialized torx screw heads. Released inner panel enough for air vent to slide out. It is held to the panel by the louvered round cover. Twist the cover to the left to remove it and the Air Vent comes loose.
