I bought the dishwasher used and the control panel never fully worked. The countdown timer was non-functional, many of the buttons were unresponsive, and "start" needed to be pressed multiple times before the dishwasher would turn on. After a few months, none of the lights worked, and all the buttons stopped responding. Three possible reasons, door latch/ control board or control panel. It turned out the flat wire from the control panel was corroded. Changed the part and now washer works fine. The control panel was isolated as problem with use of multimeter. Read more
This part is a control panel made for use specifically on dishwasher units. This part houses the selection buttons and the display. If the user presses any of the buttons and they do not respond, then the control panel will need to be replaced. An error code may appear on the digital display. Because the control panel is responsible for all of the functions of the unit if the dishwasher will not run it may be because this part is faulty. Disconnect the dishwasher from its power source prior to replacing this part. The person performing the replacement may also wish to wear work gloves to protect their hands.The dishwasher control panel is a genuine OEM part that is sourced straight from the factory itself. It is sold individually. This particular control panel is compatible with dishwashers that are manufactured by Maytag and Whirlpool.

Opened up controller on dishwasher door. Was able to get partial operation by holding cable between keypad and controller in a certain position. Found a failed trace in cable but was unable to repair. Bought a new keypad assembly and installed. This corrected the problem. Read more
