This membrane switch panel contains the touch-sensitive buttons for your dryer's control interface. It registers your cycle selections and communicates them to the main control board. Replace this part if buttons don't respond when pressed, display is dim or blank, or wrong cycles are selected.
I narrowed it to either the control board or the touchpad assy. I did get it to go into diagnostics mode and one time got an error code of 08 which was according to the technical sheet a stuck switch on the the touchpad. So i replaced the led console assy last week and so far so good. Read more

Ordered parts and watched the videos provided by AppliancePartPros. Some of the parts were for repair purposes(old and worn out) but the other parts ordered were to get the dryer to dry properly. I also ordered one additional part , the two coils, and the dryer is working like the first time I purchased it. To have a repair man to just come out and diagnose the problem was $100.00. This control panel assembly houses the LED display and touch controls for operating your dryer's cycles and settings. It includes the electronic interface and membrane switches that allow you to select temperature, time, and cycle options. If buttons don't respond, the display is blank or garbled, or cycles won't start properly, this control panel needs replacement.

The seal had popped off of the plastic gasket, and due to the blower fan blades and the heat, it was not able to fit properly back on the unit. After spending a week researching new dryers (I was ready to drop the credit card down...) I pulled the unit apart and found the issue with the seal. After receiving the new part, it took me about 15 minutes to put the new one on... its a little tricky if you don't take the whole front apart.
