Found that the Hi-limit thermostat was burned out (could see the wires to it were fried) and tried to order part from dealer in town. They said they'd have to order it and it would be a week. Went online to appliance parts pros and ordered the part. It came in 4 days. My husband installed it and we now have a working upper coil. Read more
We srtripped the range down to where we could access all surfaces, taking cell phone pics as we proceeded. We uswed lots of bleach water to do the disassembly. Asswembly was easy once we had the new insdulation. Do not take apart the burner to supply tube connextion - there is a flange on the Whirlpool tube that can be damaged and must be replaced of so. Good servide from these folks - thanks.. Read more

Reverse the past few steps and re-attach the wires and screw. Simple as that. I also chose to replace the Broiler Element as a... Read more
Used thick pad on kitchen table to hold oven door. Open door to first position (broil) and used soft leather gloves to lift up and remove. Door is heaver than it looks. Used screw driver to remove all screws from bottom and side trims. Removed side trims then bottom trim. It was not part of the repair, but I removed front glass to clean. There was some rust stuck on the glass from the old trim. Need to watch position of little spacers that are under the glass. With front glass in place,... Read more
