The surface burner knob set includes the knobs used to control the gas or electric burners on your range or cooktop, letting you adjust flame or heat levels from off to high. Each knob connects to the burner's valve or switch and typically features printed indicators showing heat settings. Replace this set if the knobs are cracked, melted, have worn-off markings, or turn without properly controlling the burner.

I pulled up a YouTube video of the Maytag repair for the part. After I had a visual of what to do, I took the door off the stove, removed the trim pieces in order to get the front cover off, then removed the broken trim piece the door handle attaches to, put the new part on (and it looks amazing!). Put the door back together and placed the door back into place. It was a very easy fix, but took a little bit longer since I have not done this repair before. But I feel that even a beginner would...
