Electronic control assembly.
Googled the problem. Found a discussion on the appliancepartspros.com forum pertaining to this issue. Went through a couple of the suggested diagnostic tests. The link to the technical manual was very helpful. Determined that the control board was likely the problem. Very easy to order and I knew that appliancepartspros.com had a return policy in case that didn't fix it. Got the part the day after I ordered it even just with ground shipping. Being that our model was no longer manufactured I was very happy to find the toe panel readily available from Appliance Parts Pros. It was shipped to me in just a few days and it was very easy to remove (2 screws) and replace the dryers bottom panel. The dryer needed to be tilted back and supported to do the job but if your dryer has the raised base it may be easier to remove the toe panel. A very easy repair and our dryer is good as new without spending a fortune for a service call. Read more
