Installed mounting bracket. Redrilled top screw holes. No template for hole locates but plenty of options to make sure you get a stud. Very easy to install. Read more

Dropped light panel by removing two screws with socket set. Unplugged two terminals and unclipped the light socket from the base. Then just clipped the new socket onto the base, plugged the connectors onto the terminals and remounted the base. Total job was less than 15 minutes. Read more

I am not an appliance repair man. I am a general surgeon. I went online and researched the problem. The consensus was that my magnetron and diode were the most likely culprits. To replace my microwave with a comparable model would have cost at least $800. The diode and magnetron cost around $170. In addition to blown fuse; the fuse holder was melted at one end. Checked the unit to see if any part or wiring that would cause the issue, none was visible. Referred to wiring diagram included inside to identify components, including interlocks. All seemed functional. Bought replacement 20A fuse. Fuse holder no longer available so bought similar unit with 25A rating - little retrofitting. Put unit back together, and it's working so far. Wife is happy. Read more

Replaced magnatron and wire-vltg. First magnatron I ordered came in had damaged frame and tip I decided to install it any way to see if it worked, unfortunately it didn't. I called appliance parts pros and explained what the problem was, the women was very nice and accommodating she sent one out the very next day. I installed the new one and it worked perfectly. Dis-assembled the door(not easy), thoroughly cleaned the glass and screen, re-assembled the door and replaced the seal tape. Looks good. Would look better if the seal tape hadn't come in with some creases in it. But it is acceptable. Read more
