Refrigerator not cooling or freezer making loud noise? A failed evaporator fan motor stops cold air circulation. This DIY repair takes about 30 minutes.
Removed back panel in freezer compartment. Held on by four hex head screws. Disconnected wire assembly from panel and then replaced evaporator fan motor on kitchen table. Tipped it over on back of unit, supporting it with a little foot stool. Popping the old draw glides off was the toughest part of the job, ad even that was fairly easy, once I noticed the little retaining tabs near the front of the drawer. Pushed in on the tabs, while pushing back on the drawer glide rail and it popped right off. One minor problem I did note: When the rollers were installed on the shoulder screws, they would not turn.
