Taking off the dryer top was easy. The Maytag Epic Z front panel comes straight off if you push in the side tabs. (It's still a struggle, but you won't break anything.) Replaced heating element about three months ago. Had to order thermistor because of error code "ts" on display and dryer would not run. Removed the two screws on the back that holds the top in place. After removing the top, remove the screws that hold the control panel on front. Make sure not to break the tabs that help hold it in place You do not have to unplug any connectors for the control panel.
